@Musicman Wishing I could drink, monday and yesterday had me a bit flustered, last night until today I slept, hard, til almost 3pm, a very long story where I had to take two panic pills while at the library with my mother filling out a disability form for social security, I finally noticed the date on the form said october 10, 2025, the direction paper said return within 30 days, I got the form on november 4th in the mail. When I got the form all I really saw and comprehended was the return within 30 days, when I started filling out the form I saw and realized it was sent out october 10th, it took 3 1/2 weeks to get to me, I technically only had six days to get it mailed back to Pennsylvania after receiving it and didn't realize it. I am just glad I keep a surplus of anti anxiety "panic" pills with me because I started slowly freaking out in the library, in public. I immediately took two pills and closed my eyes and concentrated, thinking we just had a government shut down, social security has to understand this is probably why it took so long to get to me. I calmed down with the help of medication and meditation and filled out the form. Yesterday I called the local office and told the lady about not getting the form until after 3 1/2 weeks of mailing and comprehending 30 days to return. Before I could finish and ask if the shutdown affected the length it took to get to me she said the shutdown did indeed affect the staff at the social security administration branches and main office, even though they are an independent bureaucracy technically separated from government operations themselves and that I will be alright and just drop off my form and additional sheets at the local branch drop off box and they will put it in with other mail to the Pennsylvania processing center. You have no idea how much emotional weight instantly dropped off my shoulders when she told me that. All in all I had 94 entries for appointments, procedures, infusions, scans, tests, and a major surgery, from october 2023 to current.
