how come brand clothing you buy now is often poor quality & doesn't last long

i buy under armour, adidas, nike, north face, joggers, hoodies, socks etc...but after a few wears and a few washes, the clothing is falling apart? why is that? and what can we do about it?[/i]

I get my clothes from the thrift store. Have you noticed a bar of soap doesn't last very long anymore? They're smaller and more expensive and they just kinda melt away. As with clothes, greed seems to be all that matters anymore.
