Mostly to Red Cross and Oxfam!

I sorted last year. Mostly because my cleaning lady was nagging me that my closets are too full and that I have too many clothes. I filled up a few bags for her to take to Savers, which is a charitable organization that donates its proceeds to the Boys and Girls clubs of America.
Lately I just leave the stuff down in the laundry room in my building. We have about 120 residents here, and the stuff I leave down there just disappears, and someone ends up using it.
When I first move here in 2016, I had TWO double closets full of stuff, and I had to do an enormous purge. I was spotted leaving the building with the clothes I was donating to a local food pantry/ all items, and someone asked me if I was moving out!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I sort and move things to a bedroom we don't use. had a handyman put shelves in on one side of a spare bedroom just for shoes and purses. maybe when all the closets are full or I die everything can be cleaned out

I hardly buy clothes. I replace each thing as it wears out. Buy multipacks of socks and throw out the worn sock and pair the other up with another. I really dont see the point of spending money on clothes you wear once hanging in the wardrobe. I mostly.wear jeans, black trousers and a few tshirts and shirts.

I wear things until they all have holes. So I rarely throw clothes out.
When they do have holes that's when they go.
I haven't changed sizes since I was a teenager.

I went through my t-shirts last week and bagged up 43 t-shirts I`ll never wear, I went through socks I`ve never worn too, 33 pairs of those. All will be donated.

If I cannot fit into stuff anymore, I give it to charity.
I also forced myself to stop buying new things. I have too much of some things.
Except a smartphone, since my old one had problems. But it was a replacement and upgrade, not a second phone. The old one had to be trashed.

I give things away all the time. It’s a bit of revolving door for me.

Not much to give away!

In a while probably every 3 years. To charity can't be arsed with selling 😂
