The combination is not one I'd choose but I neither like nor dislike seeing it on others.
If you wish to wear jeans and flip-flops in public, go ahead. Obviously they would be wrong where everyone is expected to dress more smartly or even formally; but where it does not matter, if others criticise your choice it's they, not you, having the problem of nowt better to do.
I have not worn jeans for years and have never worn flip-flops; but if others wish to wear them, so be it and to hell with the self-appointed fashion-arbiters!
