What are good shirt and tie color combinations?

I normally don't pay attention to "proper" color coordination, but I like the look of a button-up shirt and tie and want to look professional when I start working. And this will mostly be with black slacks, if that makes a difference.

light blue shirt with a silver tie. or dark blue.
reverse, grey shirt with a blue tie..
pink and silver, white and any color..
yellow with black paisley. black with red paisley or just about any solid color..
i have dozens of ties, all silk... silk always looks best. imo...

That's what I was thinking! I've seen ties at department stores, and I can see how tie costs can add up quickly. I know of a few thrift stores I can look through

I really dig pink, purple, and light/bright blue ties. Doesn't really matter the shirt color.

No, I'm not interested in wearing suspenders. With pants that are a little loose, I just wear a simple belt
