can you wear boots with joggers pants

i wear joggers frequently, and i wondered if it was a done thing to wear ankle boots with my joggers, i have a brown pair of timberland boots, do you think they would go with the joggers or is it best to wear trainers instead?

Do what you want. Your joggers won’t look any more, or any less horrible with boots.
If humankind is at a stage where joggers and the like are actually worn out and about without fear of disapproval, then I think the phrase “the done thing” is now superfluous.
