Girls, did you always have to wear a skirt growing up?

Even though I went to public school, girls had to wear skirts and dresses. It was some kind of torture in the wintertime. Then the miniskirts came into being. That was even worse because skirts came abbreviated into stores and the teachers demanded lengths that didn't exist anymore.

Finally, CPS gave in, and girls wore slacks and jeans when I was a high school sophomore. Some wore maxi skirts, which I wore as well.
