They're fine.
I have pierced ears but rarely wear jewelry. My jewelry has meaning if and when I do wear it.

@MrGomco I used to have a stud in my tongue and I have had my eyebrow and lower lip pierced in the past. I stopped wearing the tongue ring a few years ago and the lip and eyebrow rings fell out and healed over at some point in my drunken 20s.
