@AT20rt i have heard in some marriages they even weigh the gold as of the brides body weight and present it as dowry to their daughters

@SW-User if you visit India anytime you can just ask some people regarding the mall where the wedding takes place.. if you show interest you will be invited.. And if its a south indian wedding you will have a different experience than north..

@SW-User Well its a long story lol.. there are so many differences in wedding dresses, rituals, method of tying the knot where groom tie the thread around brides neck which completes the marriage which is a holy thread ( names in north- mangal sutra and in south - Thali chain).. The methods are different but its all the same..
