I appreciate that not everyone feels comfortable in smart clothes; it could be that the individual has issues with self image, for example. I see pictures of everyday people from the 60s and 70s and they look so much smarter. I recently saw a picture of myself, as a young man, about to set off on a pub trip to a rugby international. Most of us were wearing a jacket and tie. That wouldn't happen today!

I think you are right. Even Sunday best is no longer required. The only place you see a dress standard now is if it's specified on the invitation of a formal dinner.

I might be a tad bit younger and grew up with jeans but I agree.

I like seeing people dressed up especially if they have put some creativity into it.

Yes, so true. People seem lazy in the way they dress now.
