I guess it really depends on how you feel about your legs. I don't think it's really an age thing. Having said that it's a long time since I wore anything that short! And of course the weather is a factor as well.
As someone posted, wearing tights can help in colder weather (or boots). Many mature women have attractive looking legs, especially those who stay fit. It is wrong to set an arbitrary date or age on what a woman can wear.
