Nike featured someone who pointedly would not support the national anthem and flag as a protest, then Trump blew it up and painted him as unpatriotic.
Nike is taking a gamble trying to appeal to the African American consumer who also feel marginalized by the country (and who spend a lot of money on sports shoes) at the risk of alienating hardcore conservatives
