What stopped you from becoming an astronaut?

@cherokeepatti yes I've been on a few flights, just short ones, I'm okay as long as I focus on a book or something, do you?

Yes I do. I bring some distractions and a vial of lavender oil to sniff, it helps with anxiety.

@cherokeepatti my first flight in many years, the cute flight attendant brought me 3 glasses of wine in 30 minutes, I guess I looked fairly nervous lol, I had to cancel my rental car and take a taxi from the airport, I wouldn't recommend drinking on a plane

@lorne13 I don't do it even with all the freebies on some airlines. My second flight was an emergency landing by the way.

@cherokeepatti damn that would be scary, was the plane having problems or was it the weather?

@lorne13 some burning smell after take-off maybe hydraulic fluid they wouldn't say just told us plane was turning around going back to airport, I was sitting in the back and could smell it good...there were foamer trucks on the runway when we landed.

@cherokeepatti congratulations for not losing it and running up and down the aisle, did you go through a lot of lavender oil?

@lorne13 just a little, and I was dealing with a child who acted like it was a ride on a roller coaster, she was stressing out the other passengers too so had to shut that mouth up! making it even worse problems for me.
