Would you wear these shorts?

@beckychandler LOL yep. I'd wear them if I was still a teen and my butt would be in trouble if my parents found out. Same goes now for my girls I'm sure they'd love to wear them and I'm sure I'd give them a good sound spanking if they were caught.

@Kathryn05 I used to very very gradually cut denim short shorts -- and they would get so short they were as, at least almost as, short as these. And Mom and Dad never nailed me. If they said anything, or Mom had that cocked eyebrow, I would just say they were "riding up".

As a Mom, knowing the tricks, I use a ruler 👮

@beckychandler Have you had that sort of issue with your oldest Becky? I did as well with that sort of cutting shorts slowly and of course rolling their skirts up for school. I just use the fingertip rule for the kids. If their shorts or skirt are shorter than their finger tips then we will be having a talk across my lap

@Kathryn05 No -- that is the one who is planning on being a nun. It's just that with the styles and she doesn't want to be a frump and I don't want her to be either. So it is really kind of fun working together on the type of cool fashionably modest things I mentioned in a post yesterday.

Oh, I remember rolling up skirts. We wore uniforms and as soon as we got out of school would be rolling up our skirts. One time someone ratted me out to Mom -- and I did not skate that time!!!!

That kind of took all the fun out of that fashion trend.

@beckychandler Can we trade oldest daughters? At least for a week? My oldest loves to complain and tell me how old fashioned and boring the styles I make her wear are. And shopping with her is torture. Gah!

Oh yeah I remember doing it too and it was fun till you got caught! I remember the days when there would be a surprised check on our skirts and the teachers would come in with the rulers and if you didn't pass you were heading to the office for a talk with the principle.

Now I can be the old and wise mom when I need to talk to my girls about the same issues! :D

@beckychandler Haha well she is only 13 give her time and see what happens when the hormones really kick in!

I'm wishing my oldest wanted to be a nun. Sometimes right now I think she wants to try and flirt with every guy in town under the age of 30!
