Drawn to You

You drifted back into me
and I became the shore
you'd been aching
to reach all night.
My hand settled at your waist
not claiming,
just knowing,
as though it had always belonged there.
You melted against me,
every quiet inch of you
finding mine,
until there was no space left
for anything but breath.
Your hair brushed my jaw,
soft as midnight,
your warmth unraveling
every careful thought
I'd tried to keep.
I kissed your temple,
then lingered,
my lips grazing the edge
between tenderness
and temptation.
You sighed...
slow,
helpless,
beautiful.
The sound slipped beneath my skin,
drawing me closer,
until even silence
felt charged.
For a moment,
the room disappeared.
There was only
the warmth of your body,
the rhythm of your breath,
my hands learning
every quiet curve,
and the delicious ache
of taking our time.
