At the grocery
I noticed her eyes first—those stunning, unforgettable eyes—and then her smile. I couldn’t look away. My mind kept drifting, imagining what it would be like to be close to her. The curve of her lips, her body, the way she moved… it completely distracted me. Every now and then, I caught her glancing back at me too, and it only made my pulse race faster.
I’m usually a shy person, but something about her made me want to take a chance. I tore a small piece of paper, wrote my number, and added a quick note:
“This is Eric. I can’t take my eyes off you, and I really want to see you again. Message me if you feel the same.”
I handed it to her and quickly walked away, nervous about rejection. I sat in my car, staring at my phone, waiting. My heart was pounding.
Then someone knocked on my window. It was her.
I unlocked the door, and she slipped into the passenger seat, sitting close. She leaned toward me and kissed me—slow, intense, confident. My heart felt like it might burst out of my chest. The tension between us was electric.
We barely spoke; we didn’t need to. The air was thick with anticipation. I started the car, and we drove off, hands brushing, breaths heavy, neither of us able to hide the excitement building between us.
When we arrived, we rushed inside. The moment the door closed behind us, everything we’d been holding back spilled over. We moved together urgently, passionately, unable to keep our hands off each other. The world outside disappeared, leaving only the heat, the tension, and the overwhelming desire that had started with one glance and a smile.
