Ready to have a baby

I didn’t think I was ready for kids, I’ve only been married for a month. However, I took a pregnancy test today and it was negative. I didn’t expect my reaction to be disappointment.

I think I’m ready ..

How did you know you were ready ?

A negative test doesn't necessarily mean not pregnant, as it can take an additional week or so to show as positive.

As for being ready, I wasn't ready with my first...I just had to become that way. With my second, I was definitely ready. Now I'm having my third baby and there is no question of readiness.
