I've been wanting to set up a table somewhere and just give out free barbecue chickpea wraps.
I'd put 'em all in tupperware and attach a nice message about fighting anthropogenic climate change, the ingredients in the wraps, and how to return the boxes when finished. Contacted the parks & rec department today, and they said I have to set up a special event.
That doesn't sound so bad, so what are the requirements for that? $75 non-refundable application fee and 60 days notice. Wonderful, just wonderful. Good news is, the application looks like it's made for block parties 'n' shit, so I'm gonna see if I can harass government workers to devise some sort of workaround. It's also entirely possible that receiving that answer was a product of the way I worded it (since I did characterize it as a "one-man event").
I've also emailed the local library to see if they can give me a hand. But yeah, if I did the "special event" shit, I'd be setting up that table in the snow... which I suppose would at least eliminate the need for a cooler.
