Well that was interesting

A couple of years ( maybe more now) back, I did my DNA test, because I was doing my genealogy and trying to figure out who my father was. I expected the results to tell me my ethnic breakdown and all that, but what I didn't expect to find out is

"This analysis indicates that your parents are probably related."

When I first found that out, I kinda freaked out a little. I mean, I had all kinds of questions, like how closely related and such. At the time, they had no way to determine that, but today I ran the results again, and this is the info they have now.🙂

I know who my father is, figured that out through DNA matches a couple of years ago. Now, I just have to figure out how my mother and father are related in my tree. Both family lines were in Pennsylvania, Germany, and England during the same time periods, so this could be fun, not.

This is wild.
I am not sure I am reading this correctly but is your dad the Half -1C?
Pretty cool that you are fine with posting this.

You may be my spirit animal. :-)

@Dainbramadge I'm not exactly sure, but as ElwoodBlues commented, it seems more likely they were 2 cousins. Well, I can't change who my parents are, and I wasn't responsible for what they did, so I think it is ok to post about it. However, as you can tell from my other posts, I tend to just lay it all out there. Once in a while, I get embarrassed and have to delete things, but most of the time it has been ok. 🙂

@WildMountainRose Right. I wasn't trying to say it was bad.
It's just so cool to meet another person who does put it all out there.
It's very refreshing. :-)
