My family tree [I Am Intersted In My Family Tree]

I used my lockdown time to work on my family tree. I now have a 850 member tree, know almost all personally, included many into family groups so that they could get acquainted with each other.
Its now online on ancestry.com and been collaboted bu some distant cousins.
Am so glad I did that.

WOW!!!
How interesting...
This is cool ..

@OK765 yup it is. Mostly I used networking and social networks like FB :)

@WandererTony How much time did you spend ???
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@OK765 I had an old file in an obsolete software that I was able to export and extract in ancestry and this had some 45 odd names. I put in 4-5 months aggressively and it swelled to around 250. By then, others had caught on. 6 persons mainly, including 2 from my inlaws side made many entries and it reached 700. Since then, it has tapered off. But still growing. :)

Yeah, to create a family tree is a wonderful thing.
I did it too on MyHeritage and also printed everything out.
It is not only nice for us to have a look at it, but also for further generations. 😊

@Loretta78 yeah, it’s like the stamp collections and coin collections we inherited from the previous generations and passed on to younger cousins after expanding them for a couple of years in school.
Sadly, my next gen doesn’t seem too bothered with relations. 😊

Really??And??Have you met ???
You didn't tell me ... But I didn't ask ...
Justenjoyit · 56-60, M
@OK765 Yes, I did meet up👍
OK765 · 56-60, F
@Justenjoyit 😍🥰

Was it expensive ?
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@Picklebobble2 no, I used the free version of the software. Since I do not belong to EU or US, the paid version access to records are of little use to me anyway. :)

I was able to track down my birth mother by using the records on ancestry.com😊
