Salus had one of those that she constantly dragged around and cleaned. :)

@thepreposterouspanda it’s pippy’s baby. She always knows where lambchop is, and she gets her for bedtime every night. The missing eye and chewed foot is from when my other dog got ahold of it

@itsok We always called it Lamb Baby. She constantly knew where it was too and always had to make sure to give it an extra good cleaning every hour or so. :)

@thepreposterouspanda that’s adorable 🥰 at this point it’s name has evolved and I’m usually calling it “chop” or “chipchop”

@itsok She ended up passing away a year ago February but I'm always reminded of her when I see the Lambchop in stores or in people's pet photos. It's comforting for sure. :)

Chipchop is so cute. 😌

@thepreposterouspanda I’m sorry. It’s such a painful thing. I came across pictures a couple days ago of my dog that passed away 14 years ago and sobbed. It’s not sad every time I think about her. I have a lot of happy feelings when I think about it, but occasionally it hits. I don’t think it’ll ever fully stop hurting.

@itsok It was a traumatic couple of days for sure. She had a degenerative disc disease that I was unaware of and ended up slipping two discs in her back. After emergency surgery, she ended up developing an immune response and having to be put down. Always thought she'd make it a lot further than 7 years old but I guess not. 😕

I don't think the pain ever goes away fully but I do my best to just appreciate the time I got to spend with her and have her in my life. :)

(She bit me on the nipple through my shirt the first day we met. XD )

@thepreposterouspanda not the nipple 😅 one of my dogs has a knack for stepping on places that hurt the most 😵

@itsok Yeah, Apollo seems to think that my crotch is a bridge over trouble waters and frequently puts all 65-ish pounds of his weight on it as he moves across. 🙄😂
