I Get Annoyed By Rude Children

A: Let me first say, I love kids. They're cute, they're the future, they can be funny, they can surprise you, and they have so much potential to be and do literally anything in the world.

If their parents would be responsible in teaching them proper manners and respect!

That's where my mind goes. The younger the kid, the more I put blame on their parents for how rude, disrespectful, or annoying is the child. Not the child themselves.

And that's the way it should be. Young kids are mostly taught by their parents. The older the get, the more they learn from others and the less the parents can be blamed. But up to a some age, a child can't be blamed for merely applying what he/she has been taught.

I always wonder what exactly people see as rude when they make claims like this. This is not to say there are not rude kids in this world but the younger they are the less able they are to regulate that all the time. They are still learning. My youngest child has moments of being rude and I certainly have not taught her to be rude or ignored her being rude. Moments happen. Maybe you might not see the parent discussing the situation in the moment or maybe they discuss it further after. You just can't make assumptions based on small moments.

I'm a mom and I realize....younger children have their moments. I would never hold that against parent or child.

@JaggedLittlePill True, but when a child is going through your purse, flicking tiny things at you, and the parent either does nothing or laughs it off, I get irritated. My girls learned early on to be respectful of others. I'm proud to say, when we're in public together, they are the most well behaved and well mannered kids in the room.

Also the assertions that your children could never or are never ever rude and the best kids around. ...

Pretty typical and easily called out when asked simply to provide some sort of example.

Was this a child of a friend of yours? A family member? Why was your purse out for a child to get into..how old was the child?
Also are you an incapable adult who can't take your own purse away and Express that you dislike the behavior or are you just that type of person. Who likes to bitch about kids?
