I Hate Rude Children

Actually, I don't hate rude children. I despise their parents who raised them to be like that. It's their fault, not that of their children.

I have a background in special education. I emphasized in students with emotional behavioral needs. While they are always held accountable, you have to look beyond the behaviors to the reason!! ( and not solely blame parents.) Quit hating the kids!!! Hate their behavior.

I came across a really obnoxious, what looked like, 9 year old. Accompanied by his parents walking in a bulldog line down the street, their little shit of child basically tried to shove past me. I didnt move as I was walking singular and they had ample enough room. Their parents looked at me aggressively

@Gangstress As a teacher, I have often wished that I could punish the parents instead. After all, these days it's often their fault...

It doesn’t help that more and more kids are being raised to think the world revolves around them and that they can treat others however they want with no consequences. Even worse is when their parents act like you’re the bad guy if you dare to try and straighten the little terror out.

@ScrewThisImDone I wholeheartedly agree. Funnily enough, I've noticed many kids are actually okay with a no-nonsense firm but fair approach to discipline, but their parents are often shocked that someone dares to put their little princesses and princes in their place.

Agreed. I was never allowed to get away with rudeness.

I would love to know what your idea of rude is...
Uncle · 46-50, M
@JaggedLittlePill When they are shouting, screaming, kicking and punching around. Using rude language towards adults deliberately (i.e. they know exactly what they're doing). I have nothing against children who play, even if they get loud sometimes. That's just natural. But some children these days are almost feral. Well, no wonder, their parents don't care about them.
