Lots of abusive parents. The best parents are the ones off your back.
Overbearing people cause a lot of damage.
And those who did not grow up with a certain parent, I suggest you don't even try finding a mother and father figure. I see a lot of over 18 adults do this. You are over 18. You are an adult. You do not want to be hanging out and have someone telling you this and that. Then interrupting when your talking to a romantic interest. lol!

@DestroyerOfIdeologies You have to remember parents aren't gods so they will make serious mistakes, there may be underlying psychological irrationality behind it, there might be fear, a feeling of self disgust at how unprepared they are for this unplanned parenthood, there might just be petty malice hanging over from their own experience of parents but something MUST break the cycle!

Because there are some parents who get it wrong it is no reason to ignore the majority who get it right. That seems dumb reasoning@DestroyerOfIdeologies
