Hey Scribs... Saw this and instantly went to message you, but I respect that you don't want to talk about what's bothering you atm.
So, a sweet pregnancy story, eh?
Okay, I think I told you in the past that my brother and I were born early and quite small. A lot of that was obviously quite scary for my parents, but they love telling the story of how, even at 2lbs 2oz, I fought with the doctors and didn't want to be intubated. They say it was as if I was screaming, "I can do it!" (breathe on my own).
Whatever is going on, know that we have amazing doctors and incredible medical technology available. Take care of yourself and pick the best doctors you can for whatever is happening. {hugs}

I was high risk b/c my platelets went critically low during my first pregnancy, so the next 3 I was seen by a specialist on top of my normal OB. I had so many ultrasounds which was great. For my second pregnancy towards the past 2 months I was seen once a week and each time the baby had the hiccups and the dr said each time, why does my office give this baby the hiccups?! She told me she never saw it with one baby so much 😆
I hope you’re okay.. there are a lot of positives to pregnancies 🤍

I know of a woman who, when she was toward the end of her pregnancy, felt an odd tickling sensation insider her.
After the baby was born, she and her husband noticed that when he was asleep in his crib, he would extend one arm above his head and keep opening and closing his fingers as he slept.

I have a few from mens side. Concerning all the foot rubs and back rubs and tesion rubs i gave to her, i enjoyed every minute. We had our classes and a midwife and planned on each birth at home.
The first was going well until suddenly the waters broke and there was meconiun stain in the water. Had to end up in the hospital where they watched us work together and nurses let us be to have our baby. A emergency took place somewhere and they left us all alone. When the head was crowning i yelled for help, no more ice chips for her. Then someone heard and christopher was born 3 minutes later. We hugged each other and him and talked about our love for the 3 of us.
Next 2 kids were born at home, all love and no complications. They all were made from love and they live their lives wth love

I was there when both my fave niece and my namesake nephew were born. Erm.......at the hospital NOT the delivery room.........that would have been rather weird lol. I got to see both of the new members of our little tribe within minutes of them being born.
My most treasured possession is a photo of me holding my nephew when he was barely an hour old. And he's smiling up at me!!!!
People tell me that it was probably just a bit of wind or some kind of involuntary muscle spasm type thing. I don't accept a word of it. He's smiling at me and that's all there is to it😂😂😂

@sspec Yep, completely alert, eyes wide open and loving all of the attention. He will be 8 years old in a few days and hasn't changed a bit. Still always smiling, still totally switched on especially to the people around him and still the most gorgeous little guy on the planet.
Not that I'm biased or anything.🤷♂️

My sisiter gave birth to her eldest daughter the day before her own birthday. She(my sister) had some minor complications so wasn't conscious during the actual birth. BUT she woke up perfectly fine the very next day and the first person she saw was her baby in the crib right next to her.
Her daughter was her first birthday gift. I think that's pretty sweet. How about you?

Being a mother is amazing and having children is the best and most important thing anyone can do.
I have three children, twin boys and a one year old girl. Both pregnancies went absolutely fine and I gave birth naturally.

Thank you to everybody. I didn't feel like talking much at the time, but the stories were very cheering! Thank you :)

There's so many stories I can think of. Guess I'll just include this experience though...when I gave birth to my daughter in February, her head was hanging out of me for a couple minutes. I couldn't see much but I could see the midwife and my partner looking at her and they commented on it...even the midwife acted like she'd never seen a baby come out because for that time it was just a crying baby's head poking out of me lol. I was eager to push but the midwife said I should take it slower and wait to push when she said to, but giving birth does make you feel kind of sick because of the pain and so I wretched and then it pushed the rest of my daughter out 🙈

@ElwoodBlues Aw! Thank you very much for sharing this. 🤗🤗
I needed something very positive to look forward to and think about...and am reminded now of all the things I look forward to.
Because right now I'm frustrated and anxious by a couple of issues and waiting to do a second blood test in a couple days. And have a first ultrasound scheduled next week. :/

@Scribbles Every pregnancy and every birth has a few issues, but babies are highly resilient. At birth, they have enough reserves to go a day or so without food (not recommended). So they often lose weight for the first day or two and start to look wrinkled like Yoda. Then they start to fatten up and look like Winston Churchill - it's a remarkable transition!!
