hi Sparkles
Well, malice is a difficult thing to assess. Sure someone could be malicious but also generous and kind most of the time. People are like that often. So I would suggest being wary while you work out what is going on. Plainly if someone was evil go to someone you can trust and tell them but otherwise bide your time while you grow up. Respect is also an odd thing in that you could respect someone who is 't very nice because they in turn had a hard life or something.
Here this poem explains it all:
This Be The Verse
BY PHILIP LARKIN
They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.
But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another’s throats.
Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don’t have any kids yourself.
Best wishes
:)
