My teenagers are messy. Should I have used the belt on them while young?

@Vivaci: With about 40 years of experimenting with "befriending" the child.. we've created a generation buried in student loan debt... unskilled in any job capable of sustaining them.. and exhibiting contempt for our nation... Yea.. let's continue that experiment Dr. Spock!

@williemcd: Couldn't agree more! Not to mention they're disrespectful towards elders and peers. A close friend's son has refused to finish his college studies in two different disciplines! He leaves his studies after first semester saying he doesn't think that's interesting! Now after two years, he has started with a third college, this time in hotel management. And just a few months after joining he has left his hostel and come back!!
I wonder what we can expect from such an unpredictable generation!? 🤔

@Vivaci: The ONLY solace I can take is that I've not any offspring to leave this mess to...I find it impossible to conceive what the nation will look like 30 short years from now...

@williemcd: I love kids, and although most of the kids look unruly, there are many who are brought up well. So my hopes for the future are not so dim.
