Do you parents ever ask you if you love them?

My mother often asks these types of questions:

-Do you love your mother?
-Are you glad I'm your mother?
-Do you think I was a good mother?

Not sure why she's seeking this validation, but I guess growing older causes a lot of reflection.

My mom has asked me once before. I think it's completely normal...

I have asked my siblings if I've been good to them, and I've asked my boyfriend as well. Sometimes it's nice to clean the slate before it's too late.
