Is "I'm sorry" enough, when someone yell and hits you for wearing the wrong shoes?

Who hit you?

@TyphoidJerry: I'm just realizing the weight of something that my mom did to me

:( I'm sorry to hear that. Is she like this often or is this the first time?

Edit: And more importantly, are you okay?

@TyphoidJerry: it was one of the only times, and no if I was okay I wouldn't be thinking about my shit life and wondering which is more painful life or death.
That sucks. I'm sorry is a start at least. I'm sure she doesn't say that often.

@ErinFrisk: Life changes - even if it's really hard right now it will be different in a year and then different again. Getting yelled and hit for something that stupid really hurts though. I'm glad it's not a constant problem and that she apologized.

And no, saying I'm sorry is not enough, but if she truly is sorry it's the best she can do. Feel free to pm me if you need to vent. Otherwise, I hope things improve fast!
