I love my parents, but...

"She can't have a baby in her state, she is too thin!"
"What are your plans with your life?"
*intense staring for a full minute*
"Are you having bowel movements daily? I have this fruit and yogurt recipe..."
"You shouldn't drink soda every day, it's bad for you!"
"Why are you playing that video game? It's not real!"
"You need to get a duster and dust every day.."
"When are you getting married?? If you were a boy we wouldn't care, but..."
"Why aren't you talking to us? We haven't seen you in so long!"

I wish my parents ever cared enough about me to say at least one of those. You are lucky to have ppl that cares about you and love you enough to worry

@mic11225: maybe the fact of having no parents or anyone care change your perspective about these things . And about respect and boundaries... They asked questions, you are adult enough to tell them that you rather not talk about those.. and answer the questions you want

@SimplyChantou: I really am very thankful for them but talking to them like that doesn't work. I will never be an "adult" to them in their eyes. Just because I don't want to answer a question has never stopped them from continual asking.

@SimplyChantou: yes. If you're used to starving you can't empathize with someone who complains about eating food that tastes bad to use an analogy.
Doesn't mean the person isnt entitled to complain though
