Did you have a dad that could say "I love you" to you?

Did your dad say "I love you," when you were growing up?

To be honest, mine did, but he was so much like the examples in these songs lyrics especially when I was in my teens and there were many many times when an "I love you" would have been the best thing he could have done for me.

🎵For the longest time, I guess I thought
He didn't give a damn
Hard to read, hard to please
Yeah, that was my old man 🎵

😂 😂 😂

🎵I try to make him proud of me
But my mistakes was all he'd see
It always seems so hard to please the rock🎵

So question did your dad say "I love you" or did he never utter those words or he did just not enough?

My father never said “I love you” to me…..but he never needed to because I knew. When I told him that I loved him, he replied “Yes, I know”, because that was how he was.
My mother was always the one to say it.

@Dragon56: It's great you knew he loved you without being told. :)
