How many parents use whippings these days?

My parents use it many times. But it seems to me that it's not so common today. Do you know families where they whip the kids?

As a child my mother belted me once, that was for disrespecting her. I've never been hit after that day. As a mother myself I would never turn to such disciplinary actions on my kids. A smack to the bottom once or twice but thats it.
