Often we didnt catch any fish that we could save for dinner- but he always had a portable grill and hotdogs or burgers in the cartrunk "just in case"- i looked forward to that food way more than missing out on the big fish catch

Grandma came along and slept in a lawnchair- i saw their love in action as he tenderly addressed her and showed respect

@ScoopJ: Wonderful memories. I was never that lucky, to have such wonderful grandparents, but my parents in law were wonderful grandparents for my son, and I hope, I will be at least as good as them to my own grandson.
