How to get someone to stop apologizing

Any suggestions on how to get someone to stop apologizing for the same thing over and over even after you accept their apology and try to assure them everything is okay. It doesn't matter how small the thing is or how big it is they react the same way everytime and it drives me crazy cause I feel bad they respond that way. So question is how do you stop a chronic apology person?

"I want you to listen carefully; whilst I don't want you to get upset, or think of anything other than what I'm saying to you. I neither need nor want you to apologies for something that's been and gone, that's already been apologised for. I've forgotten about it, I need to put it in my past (as do you) but you insist that I continue taking the same apology. For your sake (more than for mine) you need to let it go. And so ... Can we say that's the last we hear of it?"
