is 20 months to young for toddler bed?

i have a friend who is having twins and im considering loaning her our crib so they dont have to buy 2.

i know my mom put my youngest brother in a toddler bed at lil less than 2 cause he fell climbing out of his crib and got a pretty bad bump

I can't actually remember using a crib so it must have been before I was 2 as well

@Blue02: some parents never use toddler beds and keep their kids in cribs til they are ready for regular beds.
