Can I talk to my high school counselor about this?

I'm worried about my mental health, particularly that I show many symptoms for general anxiety at high levels. My mom will not allow me to see a therapist about this, despite my concerns. She acts as if my behavior is entirely my fault and that I can control my anxiety-like actions.
My counselor has drop-in hours available, the only way I can contact her without my mom receiving notice. My mom has said before "your counselor is not your therapist, she's there to discuss academics". Should I not go to my counselor about this, as well as my mom's attempts to isolate me socially? Thanks.

I hope someone here can offer suggestions to help you cope with your anxiety issues.

Do you know what triggers your anxiety attacks?

Lastly, yes I think you should talk to your counselor. It can only help and wouldn't hurt to get support from anyone.

Mostly being thrust into social situations with 0 preparation (Examples: "Go order three sandwiches in subway for us, all different very specific orders, and no I'm not going to write it down", "I'm not going to tell you where we're going or what we're doing, then last minute I'm going to tell you." or being forced into an activity I want no part of). My mom is trying to cut me off from my three friends in hopes it'll encourage me to seek other friends, but really the more she cuts us off the more strain it puts on me socially.
@wonkavite04: Are you an intern or a Secretary? Does your Mom treat you like an employee assistant?

.........Employee?????
Your anxiety has a specific example of being an assistant to a demanding boss. Unless you watched "The Devil Wears Prada" too many times, you are either employed as someone's assistant or someone close to you is treating you like one.
