why are old people mean and verbally abusive when they hurt?

Not all of them are like that.. some people mature early.some never grow up ..In my experience,older folks handle stuff better as they age. I might be completely wrong tho🤔

I believe anyone can be that way.

Why is anyone?

I don't know, my grandmother is the nicest person I've ever known and sometimes I'm very surprised at the things she says. A few times she's said things so cutting, it's unbelievable... But 99% of the time she's so kind to me.

I am not. I tend to cry and turn inwards when I'm hurt. I was much more likely to strike out when I was in my teens and twenties. Now that I'm old, I just fold in on myself and weep.

our tolerance for pain gets lower as we age ( in my experience anyway )

Cause that is natural way for humans to react
