Naya is playing with coins so I'm telling her which ones are which
Like this one's a dime, this is a nickel, this one's a quarter. She says the words & everything with me but she prefers "mama coin, daddy coin, & baby coin" 😂 it's cute though. I don't expect her to have the names right I just like to tell her things just in case she remembers. She often does. But yeah coins are hard when you first learn, I get it.
I just try to explain things in ways she'll understand because hopefully she'll remember some things. When she learns about a new animal I'll show her pictures or videos of them & tell her about them. She knows what sooo many animals are already & she has for a while already. Sometimes she pretends to be a cat. I still think cats & horses are her favorite but she seems to like pigs too. It makes her laugh when they snort. Or when she has a favorite car (from her hot wheels) I'll show her what the real versions look & sound like. When she sees them drive she gets all hyped & says "there he goes"
She doesn't say her ABC's in order yet, but she knows what most of the letters are. She loves the song but she hasn't got it down on her own yet. She tries though & she's got the tune down 😅 she likes singing songs but what's cute is she'll use the tunes sometimes & make up her own words for it instead. Even though she knows the real version too, she does little remixes sometimes.
Colors & shapes are old news lol she's been naming all those since she was still 1 🙃 I try not to brag about my kid but I honestly do think she's really smart & it makes me happy that everyone else always points it out too 🥹 even my stepmom always uses her as an example when she talks to other people because she thinks she's so smart. She's always bragging about Naya. It's honestly sweet & it feels validating. Because I be proud of my lil kiddo too. She's not even 3 yet & she knows so much. Their brains really are like sponges. We don't even try hard to teach her. We just tell her things & she remembers 🤷
