Almost one in the morning and Chiara is now asleep

Eleven and twelve are very tender years for some if not all girls, they have a realisation about life that might actually be a little too heavy for some and they have need of some maternal guidance that is soft focused and very gentle in itself but also to engender some resilience in them.

Boys also need this in a paternal way but maybe later in their puberty journey. Chiara has taken a lot on her shoulders that Edoardo should have been doing after my miscarriage and I need to try to soften up our reality, and I have been including her in my appointments especially with the gynaecological team.

I am being guided in this by my mother who in a similar way had to suffer miscarriage in between my brother and me, which is why my brother is a little older than me in comparison. Mama is a very wise lady and I am trying to in my repetition be careful and wise with my daughter. I know she is herself devastated that we lost her brother.
