whenever i hear talks about growing up and parenting they say parents teach you this and this about emotions, growing up etc

but i don't remember any of that. I was mostly punished for things they wanted me to be and it made me angry and confused, at myself and everyone else. Then i grew up and taught myself. And it was a pretty hard time when i was younger, but i'm glad now cause i do kind of like myself right now
