I try to be the mom I needed to every child that is in my care.

Temporarily, permanently, biological, or not.

That’s it. That’s the secret. Otherwise I don’t really know what I’m doing.

It frustrates me when my SIL or other people praise my parenting in attempts to have me comfort them for their mistakes. Maybe look inward and see why what I’m doing triggers that feeling of guilt and act accordingly.

I am a mentor and parent to almost everyone around me. Goes with the age, i guess.

But for you, i think its a great thing you are doing. Nothing like spreading love. 💕
That last paragraph is so relatable and I'm not even a parent😭

@HijabaDabbaDoo You’re naturally a very nurturing person. And you’re an auntie so close enough

Some have that inside them and some don't. The only way they know how to deal with that is by trying to manipulative behavior in one fashion or another. Either by trying to get others to feel sorry for them (so they aren't held accountable), or by making it seem like it's the child's fault they don't treat the child appropriately

I very strongly feel the same way

I'm always in parent mode fulltime. It never leaves you

@HumanEarth Unless you’re the type it never starts in lol. I guess we are just maternal that way
