Last night Naya walked on her own for the first time ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

She's known how to stand up for a month now & she takes a step sometimes. Then she gets wobbly & falls or we'll hold her hand to help her take more steps.

This time she was just sitting in the middle of the room looking at me then she just stood straight up. I reached my hands out like "hey, come here baby" & she took a step towards me, wobbled but kept her balance, then she took another step ๐Ÿ˜ฎ she's never taken TWO steps on her own before (without holding onto anything) so I count that as walking ๐Ÿ™ƒ she was about to fall after that so I held her hand & she walked the rest of the way to me.
The fact that she took two steps on her own got me excited though ๐Ÿ˜ plus she made that choice herself ๐Ÿฅน she was just sitting there & decided she wanted to stand up & WALK over to me.

& On a slightly related note, she says "Da" now ๐Ÿ˜Œ I haven't gotten a "dada" but that's okay.. I'll take "Da". She's been saying "mama" for a few months though so now she knows 2 words โœŒ next she'll probably be helping mama with her college homework ๐Ÿ˜…

& She likes when the phone camera go boop on her forehead for some reason ๐Ÿคท lol

Isnโ€™t it grand (and sobering) when you realize you and Mom made a whole different human being?

@Mamapolo2016 yeah it is. Just seeing her do anything, like even if she sneezed on me, sometimes I think "it's crazy we made our own lil person & here she is just alive & sneezing" lol

@ChiefJustWalks Exactly. How anyone can look at a babyโ€™s face and want to inflict pain is unimaginable.

@Mamapolo2016 stuff like that hits me a lot harder after having my daughter. No baby deserves to be hurt ๐Ÿ˜”

@ChiefJustWalks No, they need nurturing. Sheโ€™s a lucky lass.
