Well-adjusted/successful people, how big of a role do you think your parents had in your success?

Assuming there are any well-adjusted/successful people on sw, of course. :)

None. I was successful in spite of my parents.

Do you feel as though you would have done better if they had done things differently, despite your success?

Are there any bad behaviors which you learned/were taught from your parents that you had to transcend in order to achieve success?

@ColdPenguin: I was one of those that was a abused from early age of life. I was not supported in anything. Every bad behavior there was taught to me through my parents. I rejected their way of life even as a child. I as also very neglected by them so I think that help me to learn to live my life my way. If I had been treated like a normal person I would have succeeded much easier than I did. I was in my mid 30's before I went to college. From there I have been progressing very well. But I have had to do everything without family help. It would have been easier to have help.
