Making parent friends is hard

My kids sre so outgoing and bubbly and extroverted and make friends so easy. But I have hard times bonding with parents. I try to be nice and friendly but they give me looks. Like I’m sorry if my aesthetic isn’t what you like. I’m sorry I’m unfiltered around my kids (they do not cuss) I’m sorry I’m not stuck up or do the mean mommy clique bs. Sorry I’m accepting of other people as they are. Dad parents are cool too but some single dads assume I’m flirting or if they’re taken or married their woman assumed I want their man. Like no, only parent friends and friends for my kids!!! So tired of judgey ass people when I’m tryna be nice and have my kids have actual friends not occasional random kids they play with. My real friends live too far, never hang out (work) or don’t have kids. Or unfortunately they have babies. I love babies but my kids being big for their age it’s better they’re around ones their own age. Sigh.

Just be happy with who you are and be content that you have happy kids :)

I made a lot of parent friends at school once I joined parent council and started doing a lot of volunteering at school events. Maybe parent council is something you could try

@Jenny1234 I would but my girls do online public school. My oldest struggles with Asperger’s and add and my youngest is between me and her dad’s home so it’s just easier. They’re well socialized just no actual friends

Unfortunately wherever you go you will always find judgemental people

Your kids matter and that's the end of the matter. Be yourself don't change for them.

How old are your kids?
