I knew my little brother needed a man around the house to get him into line but omfg its frankly annoying how he responds to my older brother vs to me.
Today he was play fighting with our little sisters and as usual I told him about 5 times to be careful bc he is bigger than them and more often than not when he gets involved people end up in tears. He’s like yeah yeah ok but I can tell he isn’t listening so I go tell them to knock it off bc I don’t have time for injuries today. He literally blanks me and when I say it again, this time almost yelling, he looks at me and says its fine bc they are laughing. Anyone in our family with more memory than a goldfish is aware that the girls often go from laughing hysterically to crying because he goes too far and thinks he’s a WWE wrestler.
I grab him and tell him to stop because if he hurts them he’ll be losing his skateboard again. He stops and they sit down nicely watching the TV. I go out the room to go make dinner. Then I hear them start again. So as I walk back in there I yell “what did I JUST say” and as I get to the door he body slams 7yr old and so start the tears.
I lose my shit and he is just backchatting and sassy af
My older brother has been in the other room the entire time and comes in at this point and goes ape shit on him and suddenly little bro is the most sorry boy ever and will never ever do it again
