As a parent how do you deal with love affairs of your teenage kids ?

Do you try to safeguard them ?
Do you interfere as they are quite young to understand what’s right for them ?

I don't have a teen anymore, and met my wife when her son was 14, but what she did was allow him to make his own mistakes as long as they weren't going to hurt him physically or mentally.

I let my daughter down on this one.
