One day during my young adulthood my mom told me your father said,
I'd never amont to anything!
Though I didnt show it what she said hit me hard!
Well, little did he and she know while growing-up my dad was my mentor as I spent my younger life proving he was wrong, thanks dad (hugs). His true feelings, though expressed with diffrent words, showed me that he cared.
He was a witness to my success and the feeling of accomplishment came over me when I knew he knew he was wrong.
While growing up, I made sure to leave the negative teachings of my parents out of my life and correct it, by not teaching it to my son.
