The nurse at my sons appointment

Should not be allowed to do children’s vaccines. She fucked up and accidentally pricked me too… and had to go get one of the receptionists to help me hold my son down

(My son’s leg)

This is all from one shot.

Someone like that has no business giving injections in general. Reminds me of the woman who had to stick me SEVEN TIMES to get an IV in.

Like, can we get someone more competent or better trained please?

@thepreposterouspanda my son is two… he was so upset. My daughter was in the room with us and she started crying and kept saying “that was terrible”

@WaryWitchWandering I'm so sorry he had to go through that and that you had to as well. :(

Unfortunately, nursing tends to attract a very nasty type of personality sometimes. 😕

That's awful. And the fact that she pricked someone else with the needle is really troubling.

@Harmonium1923 she got my finger when she panicked and pulled needle out during attempt one
That is impressively terrible!
How in the world did she get you too?
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@nonsensiclesnail she freaked bc when she stuck him he jumped and she lost hold of syringe and then quickly grabbed it and yanked it out and she caught my hand where I was holding onto my son (my finger by first knuckle)
jesus! that’s terrible
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@crownedwithlaurel97 I honestly had to control myself… I wanted to grab the syringe and stab it in her eye

They are overdoing these vaccines and kids are fearing them
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@WaryWitchWandering 11 years ago when I was a greeter at Walmart I would offer happy face stickers to the young children and they would cringe and some would pull their arms away and not accept… and some got upset. Finally one of the mothers told me that they were being given so many vaccines that they got scared of any stranger reaching over to them with anything even a sticker. I think some of those nurses also gave them stickers or cartoon bandaids to try to distract them
@cherokeepatti Stickers are way overused... even in my day, teachers dentists and doctors were using them.

Bravery certificates might be a better idea - especially ones that they can colour in at home afterwards.

@HootyTheNightOwl Walmart stopped giving them out probably due to this , could not think of any other reason. One of the greeters bought some and handed them out anyway
damn...... she in the wrong profession.

WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
