I am so happy and proud of my sons academic achievement 🥰
My middle child was invited to participate and apply to the IMSA spring program for 7th graders!
78% of participants who apply to attend IMSA as freshman are accepted at IMSA!!!
This is probably one of the best schools in the state for 9th-12th grade!
He has always scored exceedingly well on all tests since he started school.
Currently testing at the 84th percentile in the state for math and 73rd for reading. His percentiles fell a little this year because he’s completing the 7th and 8th grade math and reading curriculum at the same time. He is in 7th grade. And next yr while he’s in 8th he will be completing algebra 1 and freshman English class at the local high school in the morning and finishing off his day at the middle school
If he is able to complete algebra 1 during his 8th grade school year he could be eligible to attend IMSA in the fall of 2024!
He’s still thinking about what high schools he’d like to apply to. Not gonna like the idea of my child living at his school makes me a little sad, but this isn’t about me, it’s about him seizing every educational opportunity to excel in his life that is offered to him!
If he chooses to go to a local school so he can live at home I would totally understand and be supportive, but this school seems like it would be an amazing experience and academically stimulating to say the least! 🥰🥰🥰
