for the parents here..

have you or would you let you child when say 15 to 16 have a drink or few of alcohol or smoke some weed with you?
Seems to be a mixed bag type of thing. Many of my mates who are parents straight out refuse to do that and thats cool and whatever.
My parents let me have some drinks and some weed when I was 15 but only when they were around and only at the house.
Their logic being if you're going to do it, at least they would be there to know we were safe

I will not allow him/her to have such things until S(he) is of legal age to consume them and/or dependent on me. If they are not sensible enough to decide what is good for them, it's my responsibility to decide for them until they gets adult/mature.

I never had anything in my life, and I don't feel there is any need to have them to enjoy or live life successfully.

I did the same. In the UK the legal age for consuming alcohol at home is five although they didn't have their first alcoholic drinks until they were quite a bit older. It was far better for them to drink under supervision with us than to do it behind our backs.
